Where has the time gone? I feel like yesterday was March 2nd and Blake was born and yet somehow this cute little boy is 6 months old already. It really doesn’t seem possible. Blake is a short chunky baby. His 6 months stats are:
Height – 26.5 inches (50th percentile)
Weight – 18 pounds, 13 ounces (75th percentile)
Head Circumference – 43.5 cm (50th percentile)
At 6 months Blake:
-is beginning to sit up on his own for a few minutes at a time.
-LOVES to eat everything except green beans and peas. It is so cute to watch him get so excited to see his food!
-sill hates tummy time and squeals like a stuck pig whenever we put him on his tummy. He will only push himself up on his arms when he gets mad enough and seems to really hate it when we give him attention when he does tummy time. However, he loves to walk while holding on to our hands.
-thinks his sister is hilarious and loves to watch and laugh at her every move.
-is finally getting a more regular napping schedule – now if I could just get him to nap for longer than 20 minutes when I put him in his crib instead of the swing…
-is much more investigative than Kate was. He enjoys holding things and looking at them for longer periods of time than Kate did at his age.
-does not really enjoy books. No matter what time of day I try to read to him, he really can only sit through one story before he is done. Kate is the opposite and always has been. Even as an infant, Kate would sit still through many, many stories. I am already seeing the differences between boys and girls!
-likes to watch Curious George or Dora with Kate. It is super cute to watch them watch a show together.
Blake, we love you and are thrilled to have you in our family! You are the sweetest little brother and you have a wonderful big sister who adores you! What a beautiful blessing you are to our family. We are excited to continue to watch you and Kate grow up together.
