It is hard to believe that Kate is 8 months old already! She is seeming more and more like a toddler and less and less like a baby everyday. At 8 months, Kate:
*is 28 inches tall/weighs about 20 pounds
*is crawling all over the place and pulling herself up from a sitting position to a standing position
*sleeps from about 8pm straight through until anywhere from 6-7am and then usually goes back to bed until 8am after a snack
*loves to strum her finger over her lips to make noise
*loves to try new foods – she will eat all the baby food we give her along with graham crackers, bites of our bread from our sandwiches, small bites of chicken breast, noodles, pizza crust, etc.
*roars while making fists with her hands
*lets out some ear splitting screeches of excitement
*tries to say “Amen” at the end of a prayer (she gets excited)
*mimics us saying, “Ta-da!”
*says, “yeah” or shakes her head no when we ask her a yes or no question
*squeals when Sid the Science Kid comes on the TV or when we stream it to one of our laptops – this is by far her favorite show
It is so much fun watching Kate grow and develop. We can’t wait to see what the next 4 months bring!
I love all her new tricks! She is such a big girl now!
